11^th November: Foire aux harengs, Lieurey, Eure
During the Hundred Years' War, a convoy of herring was stuck in Lieurey because of the snow. In order to save the goods, a huge sale was organised. The tradition has continued ever since with the Lieurey herring fair becoming the largest in the region.
